Why did first pick up a camera? I talk about how I got into photography and my first ever shoot.

When did I first pick up a camera? đź“·
I think the first time I picked up a camera I was about 14 or 15 years old. Before that I had definitely taken some photos and videos on my phone ( and thought I was unreal at it too 🙄).
I used to go out to scenic spots in my area and just take photos of videos of anything I could find. Trees, mountains, rivers, sunsets… alot of sunsets! 🌅
At this time I never thought that this small hobby of mine could turn into a business someday. I was just doing it for fun. I loved the process. Thinking of somewhere to go, going out and taking pictures, coming home and editing those photos.
I will always remember the moment I realised I could make this into a business. A local restaurant had some some of the photos and videos I had been posting on my social media (which at the time I was only doing for fun) he said to me would I be able to come in and create a video to promote his restaurant. I said of course I would and then he asked one question.
A question I didn’t realise was even an option, he asked “How much do you charge?”. I was 16 at the time and had just realised that I could make money using my camera. I was over the moon.
From then on I started to get more and more jobs to create video and photo content for different types of business.
I am delighted to say I am still doing just that and loving every bit of it.
Attached are some of my first few photos I ever took on a camera.
(I hope I have improved since then đź‘€)
